Homer plus Active equals Am I missing something?

he idea of Homer Simpson being active is humorous in itself. However, a couple thoughts I wanted to bounce with you today stems from Homer and it stems from being active....however not both combine..

First is active rest when training. This is something that I have personal adapted and now have also incorporated with some of my clients sessions. That schedule rest time between sets does not have to be literal rest...it can be active rest. So grab a skipping rope...jump on a stationary bike...whatever you have handy and use that time to do more for you! one minute or 5 minutes...they all do add up and they all do make a difference...I can personal attest to this as I have incorporated active rest with my training and I can SEE the difference even after 1 week.

Now turning our attention to Homer. I should confess that I do not watch the Simpsons...I rarely watch any TV to be truthful...however reading an interview in a fitness magazine, this dude was quoted....and I do love quotes...and this one...well, I felt it had merit worth sharing to relight the fire to achieve our goals...

"Failure takes no preparation" - Homer Simpson

Actively plan. Be active. It is that simple.
